In a security scare in Punjab, a tiffin box turned into an improvised explosive device (IED) was found by the police after alert calls from civilians. DGP Dinkar Gupta said that the first call came from a sarpanch who heard a drone and something falling on the intervening night of August 7 and 8. After searches were launched, some more intel led to the discovery of a bag with the tiffin bomb, 5 hand grenades, and 100 rounds of 9 mm pistol inside. Recently, Pakistan-backed terrorists had unsuccessfully tried to target the Indian Air Force station in Jammu with explosives dropped by drones.
